Franklin Town Council Approves FY27 Operating Budget and Capital Plan

The Franklin Town Council on Friday approved the Fiscal Year 2027 operating budget, setting the town's financial blueprint and capital investment priorities for the year ahead.

The Town Council voted to adopt the FY27 operating budget, establishing spending priorities for municipal services, infrastructure, and community programs in the fiscal year beginning July 1. The town's News Flash confirmed the vote Friday morning. Full budget details remain available on the town website at franklinma.gov.

COMING UP

The Franklin Public Library's Book Sale, Bag Sale, Sensory Storytime, and Animal Affair events are all scheduled for Saturday, June 13 — tomorrow — making for a busy day at the library. On Monday, June 16, a Design Review Meeting is on the town calendar, followed by a Town Council Meeting on Wednesday, June 17. Town Council Monthly Office Hours and a Conservation Commission Meeting are both set for Thursday, June 18. The Planning Board meets Monday, June 22, and the Council on Aging Board convenes Wednesday, June 24.
