Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of October 1, 2026

Franklin Zoning Board approved deck variance for homeowners, continued Washington Street condo hearing. The Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved a variance for homeowners Brian and Jessica MacKenzie to connect an existing house deck to a newly installed pool deck at 10 Secret Garden Lane, which sits 25.3 feet from the rear property line versus the required 40 feet. Building Commissioner Gus Brown said the homeowners and pool company satisfied building code safety requirements with a self-latching gate and alarm system.

The board continued the public hearing for New Generation Custom Homes Corp.'s proposed 39-unit condominium at 202 Washington Street to October 15.
