Trust approves prior minutes, welcomes new member, restructures resale process.

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Municipal Affordable Housing Trust unanimously approved prior meeting minutes and heard a presentation on restructured affordable housing resale procedures. Director of Planning and Community Development Morena Zelaya outlined changes including a lottery system replacing first-come, first-serve, revamped applications for greater transparency, and delayed financial documentation requests. Newly appointed member Mark Minnichelli, representing the BEN organization, joined the Board.
Chair Christopher Vericker reported the Trust holds $1,060,895 in cash, with $500,000 committed to Franklin Ridge and roughly $550,000 unencumbered. The Board tabled a discussion of the Subsidized Housing Index to its February meeting, pending further analysis by member Minnichelli and Planning staff on projections for permitted 40B units and market-rate impacts.
