FRANKLIN — Housing Trust receives Franklin Ridge update, plans future developments. Chair Chris Vericker and members heard from developer Jon Juhl that the Franklin Ridge Senior Housing project remains on schedule and budget as site work continues. The Trust discussed future development on two remaining parcels, exploring single-room occupancy, workforce housing, studio apartments, tiny homes, and low-income developments for households earning 30 to 50 percent of area median income with rental targeting of $1,200 to $1,500 monthly.
Members emphasized retaining younger generations willing to stay in town; Juhl recommended coordinating ideas into a cohesive plan with State and local buy-in.
