Library Board approves revised Values and Vision statement.

Library Board of Directors · Meeting of April 27, 2026

Franklin Library Board approves revised Values and Vision statement, opts for vision document only. Library Director Felicia Oti reported that vision and mission statements are no longer required by town officials and recommended proceeding with a vision statement alone; the Board agreed. Members made grammatical changes to the draft and selected a poster design emphasizing each floor's collections to address community survey feedback about an unwelcoming side entrance and hallway.

Oti reported a positive Finance Committee meeting and confirmed Board member Amanda Rabbitt will attend upcoming budget meetings on May 20 and 21.
