Historical Commission approves prior minutes, plans volunteer partnership for museum growth.

Historical Commission · Meeting of March 11, 2026

Franklin Historical Commission partners with Dean College on museum strategy. Student volunteers from the Dean College School of Business will meet with the Commission beginning March 18 to identify operational pain points and devise revenue-boosting solutions, following a proposal by representatives Joseph Fargnoli and Ursula Weffers. Archivist Rowan Lowell reported indexing completed at the Federated Church and announced upcoming exhibits: Sons of Italy in April and Fakes and Forgeries in May through early June.

The Friends of the Franklin Historical Museum approved $3,498, including $1,000 for the "depot diorama" Train Town exhibit addition.
