Franklin Schedules Open House For New PFAS Treatment Well

DATELINE — FRANKLIN Franklin will open its new Well 7-7A PFAS treatment facility to the public for tours on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Town Clerk's Office also announced early voting for the state primary will run Aug. 22-28.

TOWN HALL The town is inviting residents to an open house at the new Well 7-7A PFAS Treatment Facility on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., giving the public a first look at the system built to filter PFAS "forever chemicals" from the water supply.

Separately, the Town Clerk's Office announced that registered voters can cast ballots early and in person ahead of the state primary during a weeklong window running Aug. 22 through Aug. 28.

COMING UP The Planning Board meets Monday, Aug. 10, followed by the Town Council on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The Tri-County School Committee Nomination Committee and the Municipal Affordable Housing Trust also have meetings on the town calendar this week.

On the community side, the town calendar lists a magic show with Scott Martell, a "Painting for Adults" session and the Sharks Come Cruisin' concert on Saturday, Aug. 8, followed by poker, line dancing and American Mah Jong on Monday, Aug. 10.

Residents can tour Franklin's new Well 7-7A PFAS Treatment Facility on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., and early voting for the state primary opens Saturday, Aug. 22, and runs through Aug. 28 at the Town Clerk's Office.
