FRANKLINMA —
Franklin has filled two of its top town posts this week, naming Deputy Police Chief James West as the town's next police chief and Michelle Monsegur as its new deputy town administrator, according to the town's official announcements.
TOWN HALL
The Town of Franklin and the Franklin Police Department announced that Deputy Police Chief James West has been appointed Franklin's next chief of police, elevating him from his current post as deputy chief, the town said in a release posted to its website.
Separately, the town announced the appointment of Michelle Monsegur as Franklin's new deputy town administrator, a move officials said strengthens the town administrator's office.
The Franklin Conservation Commission is inviting residents to take part in its "Passport to Fall Challenge," a self-guided program encouraging visits to Franklin's conservation areas that runs from September 15 through November 15. The town also flagged a Pine Street update and said roadwork on Pond Street is set to begin next week, though further details were not posted.
