Franklin Public Library Board acknowledges $186,530 restoration grant, reviews updated strategic plan. The Library Board examined modifications to its strategic plan at the June 22 meeting, with full implementation in September. Library Director Felicia Oti reported that the Community Preservation Committee and Town Council approved the complete $186,530 restoration grant for murals and Greek Key motif repainting.

Facilities improvements have expanded patron seating following the removal of empty bookshelves and magazine stands from the second and fourth floors to create quiet study space. In the Children's Room, staff relocated a bookshelf to add play space based on consultation from the Massachusetts Library System. Sunday hours resume September 13th from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
