Franklin Cultural Council approves March minutes, discusses World Cup Watch Party grant.

Franklin Cultural Council unanimously approved March minutes and discussed a rescheduled World Cup Watch Party. The Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism awarded $120,000 to Franklin and Marlboro--the only two Metro-West towns hosting watch parties--to cover police and fire details, with licensing fees waived. The event has been moved from June 25-26 to June 24-25, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the common, with a beer garden, vendors, and food trucks.
Nicole Horseman reported $18,100 in recent deposits from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and approved reimbursements for Empty Bowls Club and Franklin Pride. The council also confirmed December 12 as the date for A-Wreath-of-Franklin.
