FRANKLIN — Charles River Pollution Control District approves $496,774 in May warrants. Chairman David C. Formato and Commissioners Ted Kenney, Douglas M.
Downing, Wolfgang Bauer and Mark Cataldo voted unanimously to authorize Warrant #26-11 covering $464,827.80 in operations and maintenance and $31,946.50 in capital projects. Executive Director Elizabeth Taglieri reported the treatment facility exceeded phosphorus limits at 0.11 mg/L in April against a permitted 0.10 mg/L; staff is implementing process changes expected to achieve compliance within two weeks. The District is evaluating a $154,000 elevator piston replacement and separately pursuing a meeting with the Town of Franklin to discuss copper sampling results from the Mine Brook Interceptor.
