Franklin Design Review Commission approves signs for three Main Street businesses. Chair Sam Williams and the four-member commission unanimously approved sign replacements for INS Spa and Aesthetics Lounge, both citing compliance within size limits. For Bar Pizza & Salad Co., owners Marc O'Brien and Jason Cohen won approval for an awning change unanimously but edged past Vice Chair Andrew Pratt on a 4-1 vote to add a 48-square-foot wall-mural logo on the building's side.

Chair Williams cited a "wall sign" distinction under town bylaws; Pratt opposed, citing precedent risks. The commission will explore bylaw updates through a March grant application to the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, with results expected in June.
