Design Review Commission approves Franklin Convenience Store signage package.

FRANKLIN — Design Review Commission unanimously approves convenience store signage. The Commission voted 4-0 to approve a sign package for Franklin Convenience Store at 12 Main Street, including projecting and fascia signage without illumination. Director of Planning & Community Development Morena Zelaya reported that the Commission's design guidelines have not been updated since August 2005 and no longer align with current bylaws.
Zelaya indicated she has contacted the Metropolitan Area Planning Council about providing technical assistance for potential revisions and will report back to the Commission at a future meeting.
