Cultural District Committee approves prior minutes, advances Porch Fest planning

Franklin Cultural District Committee approved its April minutes and received program updates spanning Porch Fest logistics, public art installations, and summer events. Chairperson John LoPresti reported that Porch Fest--featuring 48 bands and 30 porches--is scheduled for June 6 or June 7 (to be confirmed June 4), with signage to post May 31, two information booths, four food trucks, and an opening ceremony at the Historical Museum. Cory Shea, Director of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, reported the wind phone installation is expected in the last week of May following ADA remediation, and announced the Strawberry Stroll will include a cultural hub with a children's parade.
