Cultural District Committee · Meeting of January 15, 2026

Franklin Cultural District Committee directs final MCC grant funds to restoration and programming. The committee voted four to zero with one abstention to allocate $1,000 toward artsy box restoration and $3,800 for World Cup watch party events scheduled June 24-26, with music and promotional printing costs to be determined. Chairperson John LoPresti confirmed initiatives moving forward: a wind phone installation in March or April, Porch Fest on June 6, a Dean Bank mural call launching end of January with June 12 completion target, and four artists selected for a chain link gallery on April 25.
