Franklin Council on Aging reelects leadership and pursues $55,525 in state and cultural grants. Chair Lyn O'Brien, Vice Chair Phyllis Malcolm, and Secretary Faith Flaherty were unanimously reelected. Deputy Director Chastity Cheng reported three State Incentive Grant applications due June 5, $20,000 for bathroom modernization, $15,912 for nutrition services, and $10,000 in respite care funds with Medway and Wrentham, plus a $109,613 Department of Agriculture grant with 20 percent FOFE match and a $2,500 cultural council grant.
The council approved a $750,000 fire system engineering study for the Senior Center.
