Ms. DeJesus, certified as a National and Massachusetts Public Housing Manager with 22 and a half years' experience in public housing management, reported the Franklin Housing Authority operates under a 2,000-application wait list with most residents elderly; transportation emerged as the most pressing resident need.
Director Sarah Amaral outlined FY27 budget hearings for May 28, June 3, and May 20-21, with a final vote June 10, and noted ongoing applications for state agriculture and sustainability grants. The council set Senior Olympics for May 18-29 at $15 per participant and deferred Colette Ferguson Appreciation Day to the next meeting.
