Council on Aging approves amended minutes, schedules budget review for April.

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Council on Aging approved amended January minutes and received Director Sarah Amaral's report that the Town Administrator's FY27 budget includes no Senior Center cuts, though free cash sustainability remains uncertain. Amaral confirmed the council's budget will be reviewed by the Town Council on April 6 and reported the Senior Center is being considered as a new location for Meals on Wheels. Capital improvements underway include a fire system upgrade, new kitchen appliances, and gym equipment, with staff pursuing CPR, First Aid, and dementia certifications in April.
The board scheduled three events for March and set the Older Adults Lobby Day for May 6, 2026.
