Conservation Commission OKs pool-draining permit, continues three NOI hearings

Franklin Conservation Commission approves residential pool-draining permit with strict wastewater-handling rules. The Commission unanimously approved the NOI for 670 King Street, requiring chlorinated water to sit uncovered five to ten days before slow discharge to vegetated areas only, prohibiting direct drainage into wetlands or storm drains. Chair Mark LePage and Director Breeka Li Goodlander signed off on five special conditions.
Three other Notices of Intent--Nicholas Drive/Prospect Street culvert repair, Symphony Drive/Tanglewood Estates residential development, and Lewis Street--were continued to April 9 pending applicant revisions and peer-review completion. The Commission also deferred a Maplegate South solar-project permit modification, requesting detailed engineering for a temporary MegaDeck wetland crossing by April 2.
