Conservation Commission continues two wetland hearings; approves tree removal

FRANKLIN — Conservation Commission continues two Notices of Intent. The board unanimously continued the Nicholas Drive/Prospect Street Culvert Repair hearing and the 110 Populatic Street hearing to June 4, 2026. In other business, the commission unanimously approved removal of pine trees at 110 East Central Street located in a 25 to 50 foot buffer zone, with Director of Conservation Breeka Li Goodlander requiring seven days' notice before work begins.
At 10 Symphony Drive, resident Matt Pitcher described clearing work behind a pool; neighbor Kate Bissonnette objected to extensive tree removal and shed placement near her property line, prompting Goodlander to schedule a site visit to confirm wetland boundaries and buffer zone locations.
