Conservation Commission continues four NOI hearings; extends permit for Southgate Road project.

FRANKLIN — Conservation Commission continued four NOI hearings to March 12 and approved minor permits at its February 26 meeting. Chair Mark LePage reported that residents have filed an appeal with the Department of Environmental Protection against the Commission's Order of Conditions for 444 East Central Street, though Director Breeka Li Goodlander noted the filing was postmarked one day before deadline. LePage expressed confidence the Commission's extensive 60-count conditions imposed on the project reflected thorough due diligence and work with the applicant to address concerns raised by peer reviewer BETA.
The Commission unanimously approved tree removal at 76 Plain Street and a National Grid pole installation on Elm Street, both minor buffer zone activities, and extended a 2023 fence-and-pool permit for 47 Southgate Road.
