Franklin Conservation Commission approves sign work, continues major hearings. The board unanimously approved a minor buffer zone activity for a distillery sign at 860 West Central Street near Mine Brook and a tree-removal project at 912 Washington Street with stumps left in place. The Commission spent most of the evening negotiating detailed conditions for a large mixed-use development at 444 East Central Street by TAG Central LLC, voting 6-0 with one abstention to approve a Restoration Plan but deferring final conditions to January 29.
Four other Notices of Intent, including a retroactive culvert repair, a drainage project at Garelick Farms, a residential pool, and a single-family home on Symphony Drive, were continued unanimously to the same date.
