Board of Health approves prior minutes, discusses vaccination guidelines.
Board of Health · Meeting of February 4, 2026
Franklin Board of Health approves January minutes and reviews state vaccination guidelines. Chair Kim Mu-Chow, Member Diane Daddario, Director Cathleen Liberty, Health Agent Ginny McNeil, and Public Health Nurse Alicia Sullivan voted 2-0 to approve the prior month's minutes. Director Liberty reported the 2026 Women's Health Expo will be held in spring at the NE Chapel with vendors and a free mammogram van.
Public Health Nurse Sullivan presented the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's evidence-based childhood immunization recommendations, which endorse the full routine pediatric vaccination schedule rather than adopt recent CDC changes. The board discussed Vaccines for Children program re-enrollment and mandates, recreational camp immunization requirements, and acetaminophen use in pregnancy. Monthly reports on the Metacomet Shared Service Grant and flu status were received.
