Board of Assessors approves abatements, exemptions, and tax deferrals.

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Board of Assessors processed a broad slate of property tax relief and denial decisions. Chairman Chris Feeley, Clerk Dan Ballinger, and Member Cheryl Hanly, with Director of Assessing Kevin W. Doyle, signed a motor vehicle excise warrant and approved 105 personal property abatements.
In real estate action, the board granted 16 exemptions and denied 12, approved four tax deferrals, and approved 27 abatements while denying 21 others. The board also approved two ATB settlement abatements, granted FY27 exemption status to Temple Etz Chaim at 186 Grove Street, and approved a property reassessment to correct owner records.
